Tintin, a History of the Twentieth Century

Tintin Tintin, the Belgian comic strip character created by Hergé in 1929, is one of the most famous comic strip heroes of the twentieth century. With an illustrative art and narrative techniques that have symbolized the European comic strip since the 30s, Hergé offered the 7 to 77 year-old an open window on the world. Interested in everything that was happening, he introduced historical facts and scientific explanations in what was considered a children’s amusement. Between 1929 and 1983, Hergé changed with his period as he followed the progress of science and his comic strip became a history of the century.

After a brief description of Hergé’s world, an overview of some historical events in Tintin stories will serve to explain what consequences such events have in the perception of the adventures. Scientific accuracy, illustrated with the example of Calculus, the scientist in Tintin stories, will be studied in order to show Hergé’s concern for details.

    Je l’avais trouve en effectuant une recherche sur Google Image, un tres bon moyen pour trouver toutes sortes d’images orginales ou amusantes:

    Mais je n’en retrouve plus la source maintenant.

Je ne trouve pas cette remarque très constructive, bien au contraire. De plus, il y a environ dix fautes d’orthographe dans son commentaire, sans compter la ponctuation ni les fautes de style !
    Quelle est l’adresse de ton site, nausicaa ? Qu’on puisse comparer …
    Je suis aussi fan. Merci Vincent, ce site est magnifique.
