Phone advice?

Since Ingrid had to give back her old Nokia when leaving Tele2, she now needs a new phone. She would prefer a Nokia but she would also consider another one, such as Sony Ericsson, maybe Samsung. A very important criteria is the quality of the user interface. Also feeling of the keypad and battery life are also important. My Siemens S65 needed to be charged every 24h even when using it very little, while my Nokia 6630 lasts a week, quite a difference… Any advise among the ones available in Estonia?

The Sony Ericsson Walkman phone W800i is tempting, 2MP camera and quality music player. But it’s expensive. Is there any cheaper phone that would be a good music player with the possibility to add extra storage?

Update: We finally chose the Nokia 6170. It hasn’t the music player and the camera of the W800i, but it was also much cheaper… The Nokia 6170 is a good phone, feels good in the hand, with the known and good Nokia UI.

Samsung does not really shine in the good userinterface department. My mom has one (not sure what model though), it’s nice and small and has excellent screen but that’s about it.

My Siemens S65 lasts 48-56 hours with one charge, 24 if Bluetooth active. Lousy performance :( I think I’m going the Sony Ericsson route next time I have to upgrade.

But if you can hold your purchase off a little bit, I’ll be testing at least 4 different mobiles in coming week ;)

AFAIK, SE K750i is feature-wise almost same as SE W800i but little bit cheaper (~15%).
And if you have been EMT’s client more than 6 months you can buy it even more cheaper (4990EEK).

Personally, with my geeks needs, I am looking for a phone supporting Flash Lite, Java, reasonably fast, camera 1MP at least, bluetooth, behaving well with Mac, with a good GUI and supporting EDGE. And … it is hard to find.
