Should I stop paying for movies?

I went to see Star Wars III this weekend. I chose to pay for an expensive cinema ticket to see the movie and not to get it for free from some P2P network. I also regularly rent DVDs. As such I should be seen as a good customer by the movie studios and treated accordingly.

So why do I have to watch some anti-piracy publicity that show aggressive images and treat me like if I was a criminal? I don’t know if it’s the same in every country, but the last DVDs I have rented in Finland and movie I went to see at the cinema in Estonia had some anti-piracy publicity before with pictures of car robbers and so. I chose the legal way by going to the cinema, so I don’t need to be told not to pirate!

I feel insulted by this publicity. If I would download the movie from a P2P network, I wouldn’t have to see it. Maybe this is what I should do…
