Cultural shock

It has been now 1.5 months that I’m working in Finland and overall the adaptation hasn’t been difficult. Obviously I’m quite used now changing countries and environment often, so I don’t make a big deal of it. Sure it’s sometimes a bit more difficult to communicate as Finnish don’t speak that much, but it’s a professional environment so it works out.

On the other hand, there are things that I would have definitively never experienced in France, like such a place for a project kick-off event…

I’m not really surprised actually. Saunas are very important here. I have even seen a dedicated magazine to saunas among the home improvements magazines. We have a sauna at work, there is one in my apartment building, every house has one and most apartments too.

Personally I have learnt to enjoy saunas. It makes you feel really good after. There will be definitively one in our house!
