The price of the sun

When I was still in France and saying I was going to Finland and Estonia, the first things that came always to people’s mind is the cold weather in these countries. Most of them were saying they couldn’t live there because of this.

And I was always answering that the sun is not everything in life. Sure there is nice weather on the French Riviera, but people pay a high price for this sun! Real-estate got so expensive that it’s impossible to buy a house even with an engineer salary. It is crowded, with the highway and Nice being always jammed at rush hours. Nice is a big city, polluted and noisy. And there are dog shits everywhere.

At my new job, my commute time is 5 min. In Nice I spent every day between 1h and 1h15 on the road to get to work. That makes quite some more time where I can enjoy life.
