What’s to find on this web site
Now that my blog is in place, it’s time to present the content of this site.
Basically, it gathers various projects and papers I have been doing in the last years, most of them from my student time.
The most popular of these projects is Gestion de bus CAN. It’s a school project I did with two friends, Mathieu Liger and Sylvain Choisel. We studied the CAN protocol, a bus that is probably used in your car if it isn’t too old. We built some cards with CAN chips and wrote the necessary software for them to work. Since I’ve put the report on the net, I’ve received many emails from people having found the report useful.
APIC Timers module for Linux is the project page of a development I did while being at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. For their research activities and in particular to develop Quality-of-Service protocols, they needed high-precision timers, more precise than what was available at that time in the Linux kernel. I developed a module for the Linux kernel that made use of a hardware timer in the Pentium to provide such timers.
For my final project I did in Madrid, I developed a protocol for the spreading of pricing information over the Internet. The project page of the Border Pricing Protocol has the BPP specifications and the source code of a simulation of the protocol.
The Java page has some of the Java work I have done. One of them is a simulation of a processor with a basic DLX pipeline, interlocking and forwarding mechanisms, a data cache implementation, branch prediction with different branch predictor models and a superscalar mode.
The Tintinophile section is about the famous comic character Tintin: Biography of its author Hergé, history of each album, etc. Don’t forget to check out Tintin, a History of the Twentieth Century, which analyses the importance of history, news and science in Hergé’s work.
“The CV Tutorial” is a page I did with Rodolph Perfetta on how to write an English CV, with French students as a target audience.
The Dossiers section has various articles I have written. A paper in German explains what Data Mining is. Another speaks about the Berlin Airlift of 1948. Also articles about Euro, taxes, etc as well as the articles I wrote for my university satiric magazine ESIEEMag.
Finally don’t miss our wedding pages, including the wedding gazette we distributed to all our guests.
